چکیده

In a previous paper, the authors defined a new class ofmultiple-valued logic functions, called multiple-valued majority func-tions. This correspondence clarifies the distinction of multiple-valuedmajority functions from multiple-valued threshold functions through thedifference between a number function and an inner product of an inputvector and a weight vector. Zndcx Terns-Intersection of majority functions and threshold func-tions, multiple-valued majority function, multiple-valued threshold func-tions, number function.

Title Quality of Service Study for Single and Semi layer Interconnection Networks with Relaxing Blocking

Performance evaluation, using both analytical and simulation models, of multistage priority interconnection networks with a single layer or more layers is presented. The configurations of the networks under study apply a conflict drop resolution strategy. Our analytical models are based on a more realistic assumption. A new analysis is given and is verified by simulation results. In single netw...

Performance Analysis of Multipath Multistage Interconnection Networks with Nonuniform Output Traffic Distribution

The paper develops the analysis of output bufFers in multipath multistage interconnection networks. The delay-throughput performance of output buffers in multipath multistage interconnection networks is closely related to the output traffic distribution which is the packet arrival rates a t each output link connected to a given output module. Many multipath networks produce nonuniform output tr...

Reliability Analysis of Interconnection Networks Using Hierarchical Composition

ConclusionsBased on the nature of the upperand lower-bound block diagram models of Multistage Interconnection Networks (MINs), we generalize and consider a series system consisting of independent subsystems. In order to model the reliability of such a system with on-line repair and imperfect coverage, the usual approach is to construct and solve a large, overall Markov model. Instead, we propos...

A Hierarchical Multistage Interconnection Network

Multistage interconnection networks are used in many applications ranging from connecting processors to memory modules in a parallel processing system, to high-speed network switches and routers. One of the major drawbacks in multistage networks is the lack of proximity concept. All nodes are at the same distance from any other node. In this paper, we propose a new hierarchical Multistage Netwo...

Investigating Multicasting Traffic in Multistage Interconnection Networks with MOSEL∗

Multistage interconnection networks (Banyan networks) are frequently used for performance evaluation of communication systems (e.g. Ethernet and ATM switches). There exist several studies (see [9] and [7]) describing the performance of networks in which packets (or frames) are unicasted (i.e. one switching element (SE) sends the packet to one and only one other SE). A model for MINs in case of ...
